About

Captions for Indian creators that look like a real editor made them.

Capsil was built for reels and shorts in Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and every other language people actually speak on camera.

The mission, in one paragraph

Most caption tools were made for English and priced in dollars. Indian creators post in Hinglish, Tanglish and a dozen other mixes, on phones, every day, and the caption is half the reason a reel gets watched with the sound off. Capsil exists to make those captions right: timed to the word, written in the script you choose, styled like the editors you admire, and priced in rupees so a creator starting out can afford it.

What it does

  • Writes captions in 18 languages, in the native script, in English letters, mixed, or translated to English.
  • Times every word to the voice, even with music underneath.
  • Picks the key word of each caption the way a good editor would, and lets you change it with one click.
  • Offers more than forty caption styles, animated ones included, plus your own saved looks that carry from video to video.
  • Works in the browser on a PC and on a phone. Nothing to install.

Who it is for

Short-form creators who post daily, the freelance editors who cut reels for them, small agencies, and coaching, finance and lifestyle creators whose audience watches on mute. If you make vertical video in an Indian language, this is for you.

How it is built

Speech to text comes from Sarvam AI, an Indian model made for Indian languages. Word timing comes from Deepgram. Everything else, from the styles to the phone editor, is Capsil's own. Your videos are processed to make captions and deleted from our servers after your plan's keep period; the privacy policy has the details.
